Restaurant Claudine
Although my evening didn’t go as planned… I am happy that I committed on moving forward as I intended. It was worth it. The team that was there during my visit was excellent, hospitable and attentive. (Kristen,Thank you for your service and Communication)
My starter …a beautifully plated
Carpenter Eggs which are Deviled Eggs made with white truffle oil and caviar.
Main course was a house recommendation… the RABBIT BOLOGNESE
pappardelle pasta, bacon, fennel, leeks, Parmesan.
Closing with a decadent…Chocolate Pie with a scoop of French vanilla Ice cream 🍨 and of course a classic coffee ☕️
I did have a cocktail that was highly recommended if I love old fashions and it was the Squash-By-Gosh! Butternut squash bourbon, maple, walnut bitters…and yes .. it was worth it. Also the Champagne helped my spirits also good. The ambience of the location is beautiful, clean and memorable. Overall my personal experience turned out to be outstanding.
The restaurant was a lovely space. The atmosphere was amazing and so was the customer service. The only cons were a couple of the dishes were slightly cold or at room temperature. Also our escargot took forever to come out but the waitress removed it from our tab. I would highly recommend the fried chicken! I give this place an 8.5 out of 10. I highly recommend and would revisit again. Perfect for date night.
I absolutely loved my lunch at Restaurant Claudine! The gumbo is one of the best I've had anywhere. The cornbread is the perfect thickness and sweetness. Service was exceptional. The atmosphere is delightful. I can't wait to return.
Finally went for lunch with my gals! Our lovely server was the best part of this restaurant experience. She was knowledgeable and personable. Everyone working were amazing. The design of the space is very eclectic and unique, which I enjoyed. However, I wouldn’t go back due to the underwhelming food at a high price. We all split the okra as an appetizer and agreed it was under salted, mushy, and oddly lukewarm. The shrimp poboy was just okay, not worth $18. We all felt similarly about the gumbo.
Overall, a nice restaurant. The restored home creates a beautiful ambiance. The food was good, but I was expecting more based on some other reviews. Our waitress started off really strong but as we got towards the end of our dinner she became less attentive. It was a weeknight and it was not crowded so she didn't have an excuse.
Heard a lot of things with this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Went a head and booked reservations, which was an easy process. Welcomed and seated promptly. The menu is small but has good choices. The appetizers came out fairly quick. The corn bread was ok. The soft wild flower butter was amazing. The crab beignets were missing something important.. crab meat! Now, with the main course, it took a hot minute before they came out. 45 minutes, with the restaurant being dang near empty. I must say the small serving of trout was pretty good.
In all, the restaurant was nice, service on point. However, the wait time and lack luster of food cut down on the experience. If you want a nice date night and not really hungry and only want to drink, this is the place for you.
My wife and I recently dined here & it’s a good thing we made reservations prior to going because the place was packed; which is probably why our waiter took a little longer than we expected to serve us. But despite that the ambience was nice and the food was pretty good. We had the following items off the Brunch Menu…
Blue Crab Beignets - 1st few bites were kind of doughy but once you get to the middle where the crab is located it was pretty good
Shrimp & Grits - was alright ( shrimp was really good but the grits were just so so because of the texture of the grits and the pieces of corn)
Hot Chicken & Waffles- was on delicious; the syrup wasn’t what I’m accustomed to but other than that the overall entree was scrumptious.
Overall the vibe was nice & my wife and I would definitely go back to try a few different items on the lunch & dinner menus.
It was our first time at Restaurant Claudine. My sister & I are foodies and we love going to new places and trying new foods. When we entered we were greeted since we did make a reservation. The atmosphere was very nice. Our server Ray was very nice enjoyable and he made sure that he went over the menu with us since it was our first time and even recommended some dishes. Ray was very attentive and made sure that our food and everything came out fresh and hot. Other staff members also came around and made sure everyone was doing okay. So we did do champagne mimosas I got the shrimp and grits my sister got the chicken and waffles as well as the chicken salad. 10 out of 10 the food was amazing we will be back soon. And the homemade syrup was delicious.
